Why drink Italian Wine?
Italian wine is more unique because of the diversity of grapes used to make wine, many of the varieties are native to Italy and only used there.
Due to the nature of Italians, who follow rules only when they seem to make sense to them, many wine makers prefer not to follow the strict regulations of the government in regulating the wines of a certain region (DOCG and DOC) instead making unique wines unlike anything else in the area, even if they have to mark the wine as “table wine”, the lowest category. Some of these wines have cult status.
Also as the best wineries in Italy are smaller than the comparable wineries in France, so the production is lower so you are drinking a wine which is more rare.
According to Berry Bro.s & Rudd, “….while Barolo’s stature as Italy’s finest wine may be global, its vineyards are 1% those of Bordeaux and 15% the size of Burgundy. Where top Chateau in the Medoc might produce 40,000 cases per annum of a Grand Vin, a leading Barolo estate makes 800 cases.”
做爱的视频This does not mean any Italian wine is better than any French wine as this is a matter of opinion.
做爱的视频Because of the big number of wineries and the small production of most wineries, this means that to know Italian wines usually means one is more knowledgeable about wine. This also means that the masses do not know about some of Italy’s most extraordinary wines and since the demand is less, the cost is also less than a comparable Burgundy or Bordeaux from France.
Younger and Smarter
做爱的视频Italian wines have undergone a major change in quality in the past 20 years with some serious improvements. The wine being made now is better than the wine made previously. Also many Italian wines are made to drink younger. This means that you don’t have as much cellaring costs, as much concern about storing the wine in the proper environment, and as many people drink wine relatively young, you are drinking wine which actually tastes good.
Because Italian wine is made in limited quantities and requires knowledge to buy, there are fewer fakes of Italian wine than of French wine. Also because most Italian wines were meant to be drunk young, there are fewer problems with fake old vintages.
做爱的视频Italian wines were meant to be enjoyed with food, friends, and family, in other words, everything with meaning in life.
Insomma…..(A very Italian expression which means, “in short”)
In short to buy and drink Italian wine you must be a person of great style and knowledge who is also practical and appreciates the very personal nature of Italian fine wine. All good things!
